Councilman Joe Graves invoked Alma Lee Loy in saying we need to listen to the public before making any decision on the future of Three Corners. This latest version of the master conceptual plan, presented by Andreas Duany for the first time at this meeting, needs to be vetted by the Steering Committee, City staff and Planning & Zoning, but only after input from the voters and citizens of Vero Beach. All City Council members agreed that this is not the time to call for voter referendum. As Council member Laura Moss put it, “Let’s take a collective deep breath, this is not an emergency, we can do next November.” She reminded voters, “You own this land, you get to decide what to do with it.”
