The physical and mental health benefits of grandparents spending quality time with their grandchildren is well-documented.  Doing genealogy activities can be a great way to spend time together and engage the next generation of family historians.  Even in a pandemic, multi-generational families can participate in genealogy research using no technology, low technology, or advanced technology.  This presentation will highlight many of these activities and encourage different ways to pass along family stories from one generation to the next.

Keira Murphy is a life-long educator, passionate genealogist, and creator of curriculum and other educational resources that help engage the next generation of genealogists to discover their own passion for exploring family history.

Integrationg genealogy studies into K-12 curriculum has always been Keira’s passion for the last 20 years.  She is the founder of Jumpstart Genealogy, LLC and is a regular presenter at local, state, national and international conferences, both for genealogy and education.  She lives by the motto, “You’re making history today!”
