Comedy Zone ~ March 5 & 6. Headliner Larry Reeb presents a dry, observational style of comedy that is punctuated with clever twists and a wonderfully stylized delivery. VBMA International Lecture Series on March 1, 4:30- 7pm. Presidential Historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning Author Doris Kearns Goodwin. “No Ordinary Time: Three Leaders Who Shaped the American Century: Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, and Eleanor Roosevelt.” This lecture will be presented via Livestream at the VBMA or into your home. Gallery 14 presents Susan Martin’s astoundingly crisp edged textured and contrasted realistic compositions. Space Coast Symphony presents Once Upon an Orchestra musical series, an interactive concert for kids. March 6 – 10am & 11am at McKee Botanical Garden, 350 US-1, Vero Beach. Designed for preschool and kindergarten aged children, the 40-minute outdoor story time includes “The Story of the Woodwind Family,” which will entertain as well as educate tots about the instruments of the woodwind family, including the flute, oboe, bassoon, french horn, and clarinet. The program will be narrated by Space Coast Symphony Orchestra Artistic Director, Aaron T. Collins.

VBMA ACO Chamber Music Series ~ A Little Night Music, on March7, 3pm – 4:30pm. Reger Serenade, op. 141 & Beethoven Serenade for string trio in D Major, op. 8-1. Featuring two wonderful Serenades by Beethoven and Reger. Though written more than a century apart, they share a buoyancy, lightness of spirit, and an appealing intimacy. The A.E. Backus Museum presents Right of Way: The Highwaymen, the latest exhibition in its annual series recognizing the accomplishments of the original artists who made their names selling their paintings on Florida’s open roads. Drawn from private collections with some paintings never presented to the public, the exhibition is on view through March 7, at 500 North Indian River Drive in Historic Downtown Fort Pierce. Mark your calendars…70th Annual Under The Oaks ~ Fine Arts & Crafts Show presented by Vero Beach Art Club on March 12 – 14, at Riverside Park in Vero Beach. This event is voted in the Top 200 Art Shows in the Nation by Art Fair Source Book and in the Top 200 Art Shows in Florida by Sunshine Artist. Featuring over 200 nationwide artists. In accordance with CDC protocols: MASKS must be worn at all times by all occupants of the park, tents are spaced to allow distancing, hand-washing and sanitizing readily available & extra spacing in food court and dining area.

SEAN KENNEY’S NATURE CONNECTS® Made with LEGO® BRICKS at McKee Botanical Garden. On exhibit through April 25. An award-winning and record-breaking exhibition that uses beautiful works of art made from simple toy blocks to explore animal endangerment, the balance of ecosystems, and mankind’s relationship with nature. VBMA Exhibition ~ Chul Hyun Ahn: New Light. On view through April 30
This exciting exhibition of the Korean artist Chul Hyun Ahn creates mind-bending sculptures that conjure illusions of infinite space. Drawing from Op Art and light-and-space traditions, as well as theories of the subconscious, the Baltimore artist explores the immersive, illusory possibilities of reflection. VBMA Exhibition ~ Poetry of Nature: Hudson River School Landscapes
from the NY Historical Society. On view through May 2. A stunning array of over forty paintings from the New-York Historical Society’s Collection by Hudson River School artists will be on view for the first time at the Vero Beach Museum of Art from January 23rd through May 2nd. Painted between 1818 and 1886, the works illustrate America’s scenic splendor, as seen through the eyes of some of the country’s most important painters.

2021 Spring Break Cheer Camp on March 22 – 26
Looking for an activity for your child during Spring Break? The City of Vero Beach Recreation has the perfect program for youth ages 7 and older! Spring Break Cheer Camp is a fun filled week of learning cheers, chants, jumps, stunts, dances, tumbling, making great friends, and so much more! Participants will prepare a routine for a virtual exhibition at the end of the week. Anyone ages 7 and older are welcome. Bring a bag lunch, and a swimsuit and towel every day. Cheer Camp spaces are limited so register at Leisure Square today! Cheer Camp hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with activities from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
