The Gifford Youth Orchestra (GYO), established by Dr. Crystal Bujol, will have its 18th Anniversary fundraiser, Crystals on the Beach, on Sunday, April 18, 2021. Crystals on the Beach is proudly underwritten by New Vision Eye Center.
Unable to have an in-person fundraiser this year, the GYO is planning a virtual fundraising event featuring historical anecdotes by Dr. Bujol, testimonials by parents and teachers, and a few musical selections by GYO students and alumni.
The fundraiser will take place between 5-6pm on Sunday, April 18th and can be viewed from the comfort of your own home. The fundraiser will also include an online silent auction comprised of exciting items and packages including: a golf cart limousine, one-of-a-kind artwork, dinner and theatre evenings, and a delicious day in downtown Vero. The online auction will commence on April 5th and conclude on April 16th.
Tickets range from $100 to attend the virtual concert; $200 to the concert plus receive a special Charcuterie box; and $300 to the concert, a box, and one bottle of Champagne per household. The charcuterie boxes were prepared by the Ladies of Sunrise Rotary.
Charcuterie boxes can be delivered to participant’s homes or picked up at the Heritage Center from 4pm to 5pm on April 18th, the day of the concert.
Established in 2003 by Dr. Bujol at the prompting of Gifford resident Annie Powell, GYO’s mission is to provide education and training in various cultural and performing arts for the youth of Gifford and neighboring communities.
With a core focus on mastering stringed instruments, over 221 young people have had instruction opportunities in music, drama, and vocal arts.

The Gifford Florida Youth Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Florida Corporation not affiliated with or a division of any other corporation. They are a Community Resource for children, primarily in Gifford, as well as other neighboring communities in Indian River County.
