Did you know Indian River County (IRC) families impacted by COVID-19 are eligible for rental and mortgage assistance?

IRC has allocated $4.5 million in County CARES Act funding to be used for the County CARES Act Mortgage and Rent Payment Assistance program. Eligible households that require support due to economic loss caused by COVID-19, can receive financial assistance of up to $1,500 per month, with the maximum total award from this program not to exceed $4,500.

Payments may only be made for up to six months if not previously assisted by County CARES Act funds from a partner agency/municipality or up to three months if previously assisted by County CARES Act funds. Rent and mortgage payment assistance, may include late payments, fees and charges.

Applications are accepted on a first come, first serve basis until all funds are expended. For information on the program and how to apply, please visit www.ircgov.com/coronavirus or call (772) 226-1870.
