The Women’s Refuge of Vero Beach is pleased to announce the appointment of Bobbi Smick to its Board of Directors. The agency provides help, hope, and lifelong healing to hurting women and families. Bobbi is extremely honored to have been nominated and confirmed to serve for this important position.
“We’re delighted to welcome Bobbi to our Board. We’re confident her experience, leadership, and passion will be an asset and reinforce the excellent work already being done by the Board to help Women’s Refuge attain its mission,” said Board President Becky Calahan.
Bobbi and her husband, Tim, moved to Vero Beach in the summer of 2000 from Northern Virginia. They have two adult daughters and six grandchildren. Bobbi’s background is in Social Work. She has volunteered with several Hospice organizations and as a Victim’s Advocate with the Vero Beach Sheriff’s Department. She was part of the pilot group bringing Community Bible Study to Vero and served as the Children’s Director and the Associate Teaching Director. Her husband Tim is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Harbor Retirement Associates headquartered in Vero Beach. Both Bobbi and Tim have a deep love for the Lord and have played a role in the startup of three churches; the most recent has been Pillar Community Church where she serves as a Deacon. She is passionate for others to rightly know God and to learn to walk experientially with Him moment by moment.
