The Women’s Refuge of Vero Beach and the Vero Beach Christian Business Association are teaming up this summer on Thursday, July 29, 4-6 PM with a joint “Dinner for Four Fundraiser” sponsored by Mattress Market and Wild Thyme Catering. Proceeds from the event will help to support programming and operating expenses at both nonprofits. The idea was birthed from a vision to make a difference in our community through collaboration.
“COVID-19 affected nearly every nonprofit and business in some way or another, sometimes for the better and other times for the worse. At the Women’s Refuge, we had to rethink and evolve – that is how we survived our new reality, and likely many of those changes will continue into the post-pandemic world,” said Diane Ludwig, Women’s Refuge Executive Director. The charity provides help, hope, and life-long healing to the emotionally, mentally, and spiritually wounded.
This is the second time a Dinner for Four Fundraiser is benefiting two agencies with great success. “It’s a win-win! When we heard of the idea and how we can work together, we immediately agreed to partner,” said Maureen Nicolace, VBCBA President.
The Vero Beach Christian Business Association is an equipping and networking organization comprised of over 100 Christian businesses and nonprofits that has donated over $200,000 to local ministries since 2004.
