The Gifford Youth Orchestra (GYO), established by Dr. Crystal Bujol, will hold its annual Barbeque Festival on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 10am to 2pm.
Being held in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park and Walking Trail, the event will include a DJ playing music, a bounce house, fun activities for the family and will feature delectable barbeque ribs from a local chef, sumptuous fish, and more food items for purchase.
Proceeds from the Festival will go towards the Gifford Youth Orchestra’s mission of providing education and training in various cultural and performing arts for the youth of Gifford and neighboring communities.
Established in 2003 by Dr. Bujol at the prompting of Gifford resident Annie Powell, the GYO has focused on helping young people master stringed instruments and has expanded the program to include drama and vocal arts. This year adults have been welcomed to join the new GYO vocal coaching program.
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park and Walking Trail is located at 2880 45th Street, Gifford, FL 32967
