The Indian River Genealogical Society is pleased to announce Louise Kennedy, executive director of the Laurs Riding Jackson Foundation, as the program speaker on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. The virtual program will start at 11:00 am with a brief business meeting followed by our guest speaker. The meeting is FREE and open to the public. Our speaker will describe the background and mission of the foundation and discuss the local youth program Teens Listen: An Oral History Project. She will provide insights on how the foundation can assist those who may be interested in writing including family history and memoirs.
Louise Kennedy obtained her MA from Sewanee, the University of the South, and is currently a postgraduate researcher pursuing her PhD at the University of Glasgow. She was the English Department Chair and a teacher at Saint Edward’s School for 13 years until May of 2020.
