American Perspectives: Stories from the American Folk Art Museum Collection
In partnership with the Art Bridges Foundation

The exhibition includes over 90 American folk art objects, spanning from paintings and pottery, to quilts, needlework, and sculpture. The fascinating artworks span the entirety of our nation’s history, offering first hand testimony to the people, places, and events of our culture.
A.E. Backus Museum & Gallery ~ The Best of the Best

The A.E. Backus Museum & Gallery is pleased to announce the works of art that have been accepted to the 2021 Juried Art Exhibition The Best of the Best. A jury panel of three independent judges voted to accept 85 entries out of 243 submissions in four categories: Oil/Acrylics, Watercolor, Varied Techniques, and Three-Dimensional. The Opening Weekend of October 16 & 17 will feature free admission during regular hours to welcome the community to a new season of excitement.

The Galleries at First Pres – Fall Art Installment

First Pres feature a wide variety of works by local artists, on rotation throughout the year. The Galleries are located throughout the campus of First Presbyterian Church, 520 Royal Palm Boulevard, Vero Beach; they are open for viewing from 12pm to 3pm Monday through Thursday, and on Sunday mornings between church services.
Choral Evensong and Organ Recital
October 17, 4:30 – 6:00pm
The Choirs of St John of the Cross Catholic Church (Vero Beach) and St Joseph’s Catholic Church (Palm Bay) join forces to present an Evensong Servicer full of choral music, hymns, and chants. Just in time for Halloween and under the direction of Alex Martinez will be Bram Stoker’s classic thriller Dracula play runs through October 17.
The Vero Beach Theatre Guild is poised to debut the world premiere production of Bram Stoker’s classic thriller Dracula adapted for the stage and directed by Vero local Alex Martinez. This is the first time the Guild has presented a premiere production since Frankenstein; a Love Story by another Vero resident Bill Prado and debuted in 1985.
