The 2022 Florida Craft Brew and Wingfest had a overcast start with scattered lite showers off and on for over an 1.5 hours but that did not stop the crowds from coming. Though the numbers are not in yet it was crowded. At 12 pm the judges (all City of Vero officials) started with the Independent entries (Hodge Podge, Relay for Life, Little League, Up in Smoke, Osceola Bistro) then came the Wing Eating Contest where the 2020 winner plus 5 other guys had 3 minutes to eat has many as possible of the DYER AUTO donated wings. The reigning champ (Jeffrey) won again this year by 3ozs. coming in 2nd was Austin.. At 2pm the restaurant entries came to the judges. Then at 3pm six kids in the crowd came up to judge root beer with A&W the winner by far. Winners were announced at 4:15.
