LIVE! From Vero Beach Concerts presents Broken Arrow ~ The Music of Neil Young on March 3 at The Emerson Center, 7 pm.
Broken Arrow performs the music of Neil Young, featuring both the rockin’ electric Crazy Horse tunes and the more acoustic, pedal steel driven country rock material. The band delivers these classic songs faithfully while taking them out on some jamming excursions and tastefully tweaking some of the arrangements.
Joe Mass nails the Neil vocals perfectly and the harmonies are spot on. These guys always have audiences on their feet singing along and demanding encores at every show.

Treasure Coast Jazz Society offers Hot Club of Sarasota “Gypsy” Jazz Concert on March 5, 12:30 – 3 pm
Gypsy Jazz that is deeply rooted in the style of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. This music simply swings and is full of beauty and romance! We emulate the style of what the French call “Jazz Manouche” and “Le Jazz Hot” in the style of Sinti virtuosos and the “Quintette du Hot Club de France” circa 1934-1948. The A.E. Backus Museum is hosting a new outside special event called “Juice & Jazz,” on March 6, 10:30 am – 12:30pm
The “Juice & Jazz” is a rain or shine event to benefit the Backus Museum. “Juice & Jazz” at the Backus Museum is a concert gathering that will feature a delicious assortment of tasty pastries, fruit, fresh juice, coffee, and mimosas; all paired with sparkling music from the Fort Pierce Jazz & Blues Society. The event will also include the excitement of competing for select, exclusive auction items and conclude with the annual, long-awaited Florida Art raffle drawing at 12:30 p.m. Seating will be limited to outdoors and a maximum of 200 people.

Space Coast Symphony Orchestra presents Revolutionaries: Brahms & Shostakovich on March 6, 3 – 5 pm Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center, 1707 16th Street, Vero Beach
Brahms’ final orchestral composition calls for deep lyricism and virtuosic technique from its soloists to create the illusion of a single instrument. Konstantin Dmitrov and Paul Fleury take center stage for this exhilarating work, showing off the range and expressiveness of both the violin and cello.
Also on the program is the Southeast US Premiere of Christopher Marshall’s Threnody, a work for strings written during the pandemic, offering reflection, hope and healing in the darkest of times.
The concert closes with Shostakovich’s stirring Symphony No. 5.

Riverside’s Distinguished Lecturer Series presents Rana Foroohar on March 7 , 4 – 6 pm. Rana Foroohar chairs panel discussions with world leaders, intellectuals, and economists at the World Economic Forum and elsewhere, including a Harvard Business School program on improving U.S. competitiveness.
Global Business Columnist at The Financial Times and Global Economic Analyst at CNN, Rana Foroohar covers the intersection of business, economics, politics, and foreign affairs. Foroohar speaks widely on the shifts occurring in globalization, the political economy, and the digital economy. Drawing from her weekly column, she offers real-time analyses on emerging markets, women in the workplace, education, and the disruption of big tech.

5th Anniversary Art Show The Galleries at First Pres
On view through March 31. The show will feature the works of local artists Cy Rochon, Pat Traver & Anne Whitney. The galleries are located throughout the campus of First Presbyterian Church at 520 Royal Palm Boulevard in Vero Beach.
Artists Guild Gallery is a fine-art gallery featuring original art by local artist-owners. Diverse styles and mediums are represented, and the art is changed, and rotated on a monthly basis. McKee Botanical Garden presents Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors, through May 1. In this specially constructed outdoor version of the popular Dinosaurs Around the World exhibition, visitors will be whisked back in time on a dinosaur adventure and a tour of an Earth that’s very different from the one we inhabit today. Travel back to the time before the continents as we know them existed, when arid deserts covered Brazil and polar darkness was the norm in Australia! With advanced animatronics, a multi-layered narrative, cutting-edge research, in an outdoor environment surrounded by nature, you’ll experience the Age of Reptiles brought back to life! Open daily to the public Tuesday – Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm and Sunday, 12 pm – 5 pm. The last admission ticket is sold at 4 pm and the Children’s Garden closes at 4:30 pm. Vero Beach Museum of Art presents Vero Collects: Hidden Treasures Revealed
The Museum’s third curated collection exhibition, representing more than 50 local collectors and over 100 artworks. On view through May 15. The exhibition is filled with treasures from local collections that are enjoyed in private residences, and now revealed in the public setting of an art museum. The show offers a rare glimpse into artworks seen for the first time at the VBMA, where we can discover major artworks collected in Vero Beach homes. It is a public view into the private world of collecting. A catalogue accompanies the exhibition and is available for purchase in the Museum Store.
