Abstract painter Britt Bair will show her color-infused paintings April 1-29 at the Center for Spiritual Care in Vero Beach. The exhibition will open with an artist’s reception Friday, April 1, from 5-7 p.m.
Later viewings throughout April will be by appointment. Guests may call 772-567-1233 to arrange a personal tour. The Center is located at 1550 24th St. at the corner of 24th Street and 16th Avenue.
Bair says that although she has evolved constantly on her personal artistic journey, moving to Vero Beach was an epiphany in terms of how she came to create her paintings. Its colors and energy offered an entirely new way to transcribe and interpret onto canvas what she saw. The depths are deeper and the heights higher, she says.
An arts graduate of the University of California-Riverside, Bair began her career designing catalogs for major galleries in New York such as Gagosian and Greene Street.
She later painted in Darien, CT, and co-founded a collective called the Wilson Avenue Loft Artists. She also headed a long-lived plein air group of Connecticut painters.
