Also serving the community in Indian River County through medical, behavioral, vision, dental, and pharmaceutical health care is Treasure Coast Community Health (TCCH). Last year alone, the organization served 26,358 patients and provided 106,540 services to individuals who predominantly live at or below the Federal Poverty Level in Indian River County. Because Treasure Coast Community Health never turns anyone away simply for an inability to pay, the organization is always searching for funding. To help defray expenses, TCCH will host its tenth annual Duck Derby on Sunday, October 23rd at Captain Hiram’s in Sebastian. The August Dyer Difference Award in Indian River County recognizes the dedication of TCCH and celebrates the tenth annual Duck Derby.
The Dyer Difference Award is all about celebrating the beauty and kindness in our midst. For the Dyer family and the members of the Dyer staff, the award and the $6,000 in donations made monthly between the St. Lucie and Indian River Counties are all about helping to make a positive difference in the community. For the recipients, it’s an acknowledgement of their tireless efforts to do the same and a much-needed financial boost to help further their missions. If you’d like to nominate a non-profit organization for the Dyer Difference Award, please visit http://www.dyerdifference.org or find Dyer Difference on Facebook.
