The Choral Society began the 2022-2023 season with rehearsals on September 13, and while the group is known for exciting, high-quality performances- this season is looking to be exceptionally fantastic. On December 4th, the group will offer a Winter Concert featuring Holiday-themed selections including The Minute Carol by McAfee and Lamb, Christmas Day by Holst, Candles of Hanukkah/Candles of Christmas by Angebranndt, The Holly and the Ivy by Gjeilo, and Fum Fum Fum by Kern. Following the Choral Society performance, Artistic Director Dr. Jacob Craig offers a collaborative performance of Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria, featuring the Vero Beach High School Choir and First Presbyterian Church Youth Symphonic Orchestra.

Following the opening performance of the Choral Society’s concert season, the collaboration continues as they join the Vero Beach High School Choir to perform selections from Gloria in the High School’s Winter Concerts. Performances will be given on December 13 and 14, in the James M. Sammons Auditorium at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center, 1707 16th Street in Vero Beach.

The Vero Beach Choral Society Spring Concert will be offered on Sunday, April 30 at 4:00pm at First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach. Musical selections will feature jazz style favorites including works by George Gershwin, Will Todd, and George Wess, all accompanied by a full jazz combo.

All Choral Society concerts are free, and a $10 donation is suggested at the door for each performance. For tickets to the Vero Beach High School Winter Concert performances, please visit the VBHS PAC website at https://www.tix.com/ticket-sales/indianriverschools/5018.
