Vero Beach Theatre Guild presents MUSICAL CHAIRS Performances run through November 27.  This delightful musical is about an audience watching a play! Joe Preston has not had a hit in years and hopes his new play will revive his career. He is at the mercy of an off Broadway audience consisting of two typical “gray haired matinee ladies,” a married couple who fight all the time, an anxious young man waiting for his date, an illiterate rock singer trying to impress his date with some culture, a Texas businessman and his culture vulture wife and three critics– one of who hates Preston’s work and another who begged his editor not to assign him to this show because Sam, his lover who recently jilted him, is in the cast. Poor Joe Preston! Marvelous music, hysterical comedy, and at least six showstoppers make this a surefire winner!

ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS BALL, an original performing arts production

Save the date of Sunday, December 4, 2022 for the most magical holiday experience in town. The City of Vero Beach Recreation Department will present ‘Enchanted Christmas Ball’, an original performing arts production at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center! ‘Enchanted Christmas Ball’ combines amazing acrobatics, beautiful dancing and daring aerial acts into an original script written by Vero Beach High School graduate and Disney Imagineer, Ilyana Reed. This year’s production marks the 28th year that the City of Vero Beach Recreation Department has sponsored and produced a holiday show utilizing the participants of Leisure Square’s popular Aerial Antics Youth Circus, gymnastics and performing arts programs. Students ages 3 to 19 will bring this original and unique show to our community. ‘Enchanted Christmas Ball’ cannot be seen anywhere else. Audiences will be amazed at the talented performers and will be left wanting more! ‘Enchanted Christmas Ball’ is a compilation of edgy, upbeat music with a Christmas spin. A magical tale of a town excited for Christmas and a magnificent ball thrown every year by an elegant hotel. The purpose of the ball is to bring the townspeople together and spread the Christmas spirit. Unfortunately, not everyone is eager to distribute the Christmas joy!

‘Enchanted Christmas Ball’ will be held at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Tickets are available now Leisure Square.
