Viva FOCA!” On view December 2 – 30. Center for Spiritual Care,1550 24th St. in Vero Beach, at the corner of 16th Avenue and 24th St. Twenty-seven of Vero’s best-known artists will gather on December 2, 5 – 7 pm at the Center for Spiritual Care for the public opening of a month-long group exhibition. Organized by a local group of art enthusiasts called Friends of Contemporary Art, entitled “Viva FOCA!”The exhibition will feature small works, none larger than 14” x 14”. It will be open to viewers by appointment after the reception through December 30. Covering hits from artists including the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Little Big Town, Abba, Indigo Girls, The Beatles, Maren Morris, Crosby Stills & Nash, Sheryl Crow, Beach Boys, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Civil Wars, Van Morrison, Rolling Stones and many more! Plus they will mix in some classic holiday tunes.

December 3: The Real Deal plays music from The Doors, The Zombies, Creedence, Van Morrison, Santana, Steely Dan, Todd Rundgren, The Rascals, Queen, The Hollies, The Kinks, Badfinger, The Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Beatles and of course some holiday hits! And expect a surprise with “Grinchy’ our guest musician later in the show.

On December 3 Sunrise Rotary Club of Vero Beach will be the host of the annual Vero Beach Christmas Parade on Ocean Dr. Parade route will be the same; there will be social media (facebook) live for those homebound residents; music available from Ocean 97.1 for entries without music; TC food pantry donations will be picked up at the Riverside Park staging area as well as along the parade route; monthly events are planned to promote the event like “Find Santa” for the kids and “build a float ideas and challenge” online at

VBMA presents Mobile Hot Shop Glassblowing Demonstrations from Duncan McClellan Gallery on December 3, 11am – 2pm

Please note that this is a FREE outdoor activity

Expert glassblowing artists from the Duncan McClellan Gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida bring their mobile hot shop to the VBMA to show detailed demonstrations on glassblowing technique with question and answer time. Duncan McClellan’s hand-blown Rain Forest, from the Tree Series, is part of the Museum’s collection and will be on display.

Hibiscus Children’s Center Candlelight Ball December 3, 6 – 10pm. The Hibiscus Children’s Center “Candlelight Ball” is the annual premier Gala event in Vero Beach this season!  This elegant black-tie event will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 6PM at the beautiful clubhouse at Oak Harbor. Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a sumptuous three-course dinner. And then – put on your dancin’ shoes as the fabulous Jordan Thomas Odyssey Band turns up the volume and heats up the evening! The festivities…the elegant ambience…the entertainment … you will have to be there to experience it all – under the romantic lights of our “Candlelight Ball”!  Event proceeds benefit the abused, neglected and abandoned youth living at the Hibiscus Village in Vero Beach and will help provide medical and educational services, and career preparation and training.

Winter Concert with the Vero Beach Choral Society December 4, 4pm

The most magical holiday experience in town. The City of Vero Beach Recreation Department will present ‘Enchanted Christmas Ball’, an original performing arts production at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center! ‘Enchanted Christmas Ball’ combines amazing acrobatics, beautiful dancing and daring aerial acts into an original script written by Vero Beach High School graduate and Disney Imagineer, Ilyana Reed. This year’s production marks the 28th year that the City of Vero Beach Recreation Department has sponsored and produced a holiday show utilizing the participants of Leisure Square’s popular Aerial Antics Youth Circus, gymnastics and performing arts programs. Students ages 3 to 19 will bring this original and unique show to our community. ‘Enchanted Christmas Ball’ cannot be seen anywhere else. Audiences will be amazed at the talented performers and will be left wanting more!‘Enchanted Christmas Ball’ is a compilation of edgy, upbeat music with a Christmas spin. A magical tale of a town excited for Christmas and a magnificent ball thrown every year by an elegant hotel. The purpose of the ball is to bring the townspeople together and spread the Christmas spirit. Unfortunately, not everyone is eager to distribute the Christmas joy! ‘Enchanted Christmas Ball’ will be held at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center on December 4, at 2 & 6pm.  Tickets are available now Leisure Square.

Final Ornament

Garden Club of Indian River County Christmas Ornament released for sale to the Community.  Marking the 31st year of producing the ornament, each year, featuring places in Indian River County that are near and dear to our hearts. Many residents enjoy collecting and gifting these ornaments and eagerly await their arrival. This year the Garden Club is happy to feature ‘Gardenfest!’. The brass ornament is adorned with our white trellis and colorful Bougainvillea. Celebrating the 20th year of this much-loved event, held each year on the first weekend in February under the oaks in Vero Beach. 20,000 people attend each year to find plants, herbs, various garden services, garden accessories and local business services.

Relive moments of holidays past as you marvel at McKee’s nostalgic large-scale train display (December 20-23 and December 28-30) and listen to the sounds of the 1924 Wurlitzer Band Organ (December 20-23). Intermittent snow flurries create a traditional holiday spirit in the Garden along with Santa, outdoor holiday movies, performances by local entertainers and special holiday treats from the Garden Café. Thousands of bright and colorful professionally installed lights will illuminate the Garden pathways along with lighted holiday displays and festive decorations.
