Advent Organ and Poetry Series on December 8 , 11am

ELC offers Lagoon Lantern Walk on December 9, 5 – 9pm

Looking for a holiday event? Lagoon Lantern Walk; create your own mason jar lantern, make s’mores over the bonfire, and take a lantern lit walk among the mangroves. Treasure Coast Girls Coalition will have their food cart serving food starting at 5pm. The City of Vero Beach Recreation Department Antics Youth Circus will perform an excerpt of their Enchanted Christmas Ball from 5:30-6pm. Lantern making and s’mores will start at 6pm!

H.A.L.O.’s Masquerade Fur Ball on December 9, 7pm

Join H.A.L.O. on Friday, December 9th at Cobalt at 7:00 pm for a magical evening celebrating 16 years of no-kill rescue! Enjoy an unforgettable night alongside adoptable animals, a silent and live auction, and of course lots of entertainment!

The 4-course menu has been carefully crafted to delight the taste buds and an open bar will be provided to all guests. This is a formal evening wear event, including masks. We are excited to see all our rescue friends in their favorite masquerade attire!

Riverside Theatre Comedy Zone on December 9 & 10

Headliner Mutzie’s act includes music, a few props, some homegrown characters, and improv that is second to none. Mutzie is like the eternal class clown, never passing up the opportunity to get a laugh. Feature act Fasil Malik has a clean style of comedy that is witty, to the point, and will have you wondering what he will say next. Steve Kalisikwill be your emcee.

Riverside Theatre Live in the Loop on December 9 Jerzi and her band love to sing their versions of popular tunes with the unique sound of her electric ukulele. They cover songs from oldies to today’s hits as well as songs by bands that not many people have heard of. The band will also be adding some holiday tunes into their playlist to rock the holidays!

December 10: The Beatle Guys are a four-piece Beatles tribute band covering all your favorite Beatle songs from all their albums: Please, Please Me, Twist & Shout, A Hard Days Night, Help!, Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine, Abbey Road, The White Album and Let it Be! Plus they will mix in some classic holiday tunes!

VBMA Sundown Sundays on December 11, 4:30 – 5:30pm – Indian River Land Trust’s Toni Robinson Waterfront Trail Join Hester Bloom, VBMA docent, yoga, qigong, and meditation teacher, for a guided meditation walk through nature on Indian River Land Trust’s Toni Robinson Waterfront Trail. These walks will be gentle, immersive, and contemplative, similar to Japanese Shinrun Yoku or Forest Bathing. Participants are invited to slow down, awaken the senses to the environment, and feel a sense of well-being with the surrounding natural world.

For those interested, the walk will be preceded by a brief, informal tour of Changing Nature: A New Vision, Photographs by James Balog at the VBMA beginning at 3:30pm to deepen appreciation for both the photographic arts and the natural art of our Indian River habitat.

Valerie Cecire is the featured artist in the Tidal Gallery and will be exhibiting her contemporary landscapes. She is an award-winning artist whose art pieces are impressions and concepts derived from nature with abstract dimensions. Cathy K. Ferrell is also showing bronze sculptures during this show. All of the artwork is available for purchase.

Viva FOCA!” On view through December 30. Center for Spiritual Care,1550 24th St. in Vero Beach, at the corner of 16th Avenue and 24th St. Twenty-seven of Vero’s best-known artists works at the Center for Spiritual Care for a month-long group exhibition. Organized by a local group of art enthusiasts called Friends of Contemporary Art, entitled “Viva FOCA!”The exhibition will feature small works, none larger than 14” x 14”. It will be open to viewers by appointment after the reception through December 30. Final Ornament

Garden Club of Indian River County Christmas Ornament released for sale to the Community.  Marking the 31st year of producing the ornament, each year, featuring places in Indian River County that are near and dear to our hearts. Many residents enjoy collecting and gifting these ornaments and eagerly await their arrival. This year the Garden Club is happy to feature ‘Gardenfest!’. The brass ornament is adorned with our white trellis and colorful Bougainvillea. Celebrating the 20th year of this much-loved event, held each year on the first weekend in February under the oaks in Vero Beach. 20,000 people attend each year to find plants, herbs, various garden services, garden accessories and local business services.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, (CMS) is one of eleven constituents of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the largest performing arts complex in the world. The Chamber Music Society has its home in Alice Tully Hall – the finest hall in the world for chamber music. Through its performance, education, and recording/broadcast activities, it draws more people to chamber music than any other organization of its kind.
