Get ready to snap your fingers and tap your toes when Frank Wosar and the Space Coast Symphony JAZZ Orchestra present Fan Favorites: Jazz Edition at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 15 at The Emerson Center, 1590 27th Avenue in Vero Beach. Fourteen seasons and hundreds of requests have led to Fan Favorites: Jazz Edition, a concert filled with audience favorites and requested songs. Frank Wosar will lead some of Florida’s finest jazz musicians performing works by Woody Herman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Quincy Jones, Henry Mancini, Thelonious Monk, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Charles Mingus, Hoagy Carmichael and other greats. Members of the orchestra have played with dozens of luminaries from Boots Randolph to Beyoncé. Professional dancers, Joanne Collins, Lindsay Milam and Ivan Ilin will perform alongside the Space Coast Symphony JAZZ Orchestra on multiple numbers, emphasizing the style variations within the jazz genre and enhancing the audience experience. The dancers are past Dancesport champions in the American smooth and rhythm divisions. Musical selections that span the decades include “In the Mood,” “Caravan,” “Jeep’s Blues,” “Night and Day,” “The Lady is a Tramp,” “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “Can’t Buy me Love,” “Hey Jude,” “Yesterday,” “Respect,” “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay” and more.

Space Coast Symphony JAZZ Orchestra Conductor, Frank Wosar has assembled some of Florida’s greatest jazz musicians for the concert of fan favorites. Nearly three quarters of the group have toured with the modern Glenn Miller Orchestra and/or the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, for which Wosar plays lead trombone. Wosar is Director of Jazz Bands at Valencia College. The trombone professor is a four-time Down Beat Award winner for outstanding jazz solo.
