Jazz Orchestra rocks VB: Best of Classic Rock

Get ready to rock –again! The Space Coast Symphony JAZZ Orchestra under Frank Wosar will join forces with vocalist Hannah Stokes for a second year, taking on some of the greatest rock and pop classics in recent history. The Best of Classic Rock will be presented on Thursday, March 30th at 7:00 PM at the Emerson Center, 1590 27th Avenue in Vero Beach. The specialty concert, in collaboration with Live! From Vero Beach and produced by MusicWorks, will feature the Space Coast Symphony Jazz Orchestra performing music from top bands and artists, including Queen, U2, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Van Morrison, Led Zeppelin, ABBA, James Brown, The Eagles, ELO, Pink Floyd, and more.

Season passes and flex tickets will not be accepted for this exclusive concert. Tickets are on sale now at MusicWorksConcerts.com and start at $35, depending on the seating section. In a special arrangement with MusicWorks, 25% of the ticket price will be donated to the orchestra when the code “SCSO” is entered during the online transaction. Aaron T. Collins, Conductor and Artistic Director for the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, thinks Vero Beach is ready to rock.

“MusicWorks is all about the production of specialty concerts,” said Collins. “This is the second year we have worked with them and Live! From Vero Beach, to create an amazing rock program with our jazz orchestra. Rock on!”

The Best of Classic Rock will be conducted by the leader of the Space Coast Symphony JAZZ Orchestra, Frank Wosar.  Wosar is Director of Jazz Bands at Valencia College and no stranger to the Central Florida music scene. The trombone professor is a four-time Down Beat Award winner for outstanding jazz solo.
