American Made: Paintings and Sculpture from the DeMell Jacobsen Collection is on view at VBMA only through June 7. The nationally touring exhibition traces the arc of American art from the colonial era to the present day and includes more than 80 works by renowned American artists, including Benjamin West, Sarah Miriam Peale, Edward Moran, John Singer Sargent, Mary Cassatt, Robert Henri, and Charles Alston.

Construction: from Abstraction to Architecture examines the role of construction in modern and contemporary art. The exhibition traces its influence from early 20th-century geometric abstraction to representations of built environments and facades. Featuring works from the VBMA’s collection and select loans, it highlights the lasting impact of structure, materials, and design in art.

American Made was curated by Todd Herman, PhD, president and CEO of The Mint Museum; Kevin Sharp, director of the Dixon Gallery and Gardens; and Jonathan Stuhlman, PhD, senior curator of American art at The Mint Museum. Construction: from Abstraction to Architecture is curated by Chief Curator Caitlin Swindell and organized by the Vero Beach Museum of Art.
