Anthony Zobaugh, Executive Director of The Source, and on behalf of the Board of Directors, is proud to announce being recognized as a “2026 Best of Benchmark Award” winner in the Non-Profit Organization category for Vero Beach, Florida. The “Best of Benchmark Award” is powered by Google Reviews and recognizes organizations that consistently demonstrate excellence in their field while maintaining strong community engagement and positive public feedback.
According to Anthony Zorbaugh, Executive Director of The Source, “This recognition reflects the support of the community and the impact that is possible when individuals, businesses, churches, volunteers, donors, and community partners come together with a shared commitment to helping others move forward with dignity.”
For The Source, this award represents more than recognition. It reflects the trust placed in the organization by the individuals they serve, the supporters who believe in their mission, and the community that continues to stand alongside them. Every meal served, every life changed, every opportunity created, and every act of support contributed to this achievement.
For over 30 years, The Source has worked to address the complex challenges of homelessness and poverty in Indian River County through a comprehensive approach that focuses on dignity, opportunity, and community. Through the Dignity Programs, housing initiatives, wellness services, employment pathways, and educational opportunities, they strive to create lasting change for individuals and families working toward stability and independence. This recognition reinforces their commitment to continuing that work and finding innovative ways to serve the community.
“Awards like this are never earned by one person or one organization alone,” states Zorbaugh. “They belong to the volunteers who generously give their time. They belong to the donors and community partners who invest in our mission. They belong to our staff working tirelessly to serve others. Most importantly, they belong to the members and neighbors whose perseverance, growth, and success inspire everything we do.”
I am Ministries DBA The Source, is a Christian social outreach ministry that has been empowering communities into a lifestyle of service for the homeless, needy and families of Indian River County (IRC) since 1995. Local residents in need may visit their full-service reSource Center to become a member, receive a membership card, and begin their journey to restoring their lives. In doing so, The Source provides a wide range of Dignity Programs, housing through the Dignity Bus Mobile Shelters and other nearby housing facilities, restaurant-style hot meals, clothing provisions, counseling services, support groups, hygiene amenities, access to showers, mail and telephone facilities, and referrals for benefits through core programs and services that instill a sense of community. Their goals are to move individuals from a membership to a neighborship and to ultimately eliminate homelessness in Indian River County.
