Florida Art Chix Gallery presents “Hot Summer Art,” works by Guest Artists Justine Lomenzo, Iris Peters, P. Hall, Jeff Hall, Michael Degnon, Ena Raquer, and Gallery Owners Camy De Mario and Judy Burgarella. “Hot Summer Art” will be on view to August 31st, and includes a book launch and signing of DeMario’s new memoire, “What I Carried Through the Fire,” a riveting true story of tragedy, survival, adventure and art.
Environmental Learning Center (ELC) offers Family Paddle Pro Class Aug. 15 at 1:30 p.m. Presented by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, this is a classroom-style workshop that covers essential paddling safety, equipment, and navigation tips for kayakers and paddleboarders of all experience levels. Environmental Learning Center (ELC) offers a Sound Bath Aug. 16 at 2:00 p.m. Join Micaela Deegan and step into a moment where the outside world softens, inviting your whole system into calm presence. You’ll be gently held in soothing soundscapes designed to restore balance to the mind, body, and nervous system.
Space Coast Symphony Orchestra presents Landscapes & Legends Aug. 16 at 3:00 p.m. From magic and myth to full orchestral spectacle — music building worlds in real time. Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Kenneth Fuchs’ Cloud Slant, pianist Jacob Craig takes center stage in MacDowell’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and then comes Pines of Rome. Held at the Community Church of Vero Beach. Tickets required.
Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Museum Stories at VBMA Aug. 19 at 9:30 a.m. Every Wednesday at the VBMA unless closed for holiday. A theme-based, participatory program for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers that includes reading books, singing songs, dancing, and creating art together. Museum Stories takes place in the VBMA’s Art Zone. 9:30-10:30 a.m. (0-24 months) and 10:30-11:30 a.m. (2-4 years).

Learn how mosquitoes are managed throughout Indian River County and discover practical ways to protect yourself from mosquito bites through an interactive workshop with hands-on demonstrations. Participants will receive a free insect repellent to take home. Perfect for anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors!
Environmental Learning Center offers Walking Meditation on Aug. 23 at 1:00 p.m. Walking meditation is a ‘meditation in motion,’ great for beginners and seasoned meditators alike. If our daily lives are defined by ‘going to’ or ‘coming from’, walking meditation is a practice of mindfulness and being present in the moment.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County exhibit at the Indian River County Courthouse, 2000 16th Avenue, Vero Beach. The Butterfly Project is a collaborative exhibit between Community One Initiative and the Indian River School District to commemorate Remembrance of children lost in the holocaust. It will run to February 15, 2027.
Vero Beach Museum of Art presents Jill Nathanson: Chromatic Phrases in Schumann and Titelman galleries. This exhibition presents recent work by Jill Nathanson, whose abstract paintings are shaped through a deliberate process that balances spontaneity with a predetermined structure. In her work, color does not remain fixed or purely descriptive but instead suggests movement as it is shaped by the interaction of light and perception. Exhibit continues to Feb. 7, 2027.
