The Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA) welcomes back exhibiting abstract artist Jill Nathanson October 17, 2026, for a workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. geared toward intermediate level artists. During Abstract Painting: Past, Present, Personal, Nathanson will guide registered students through techniques exploring abstraction through color, composition, and personal expression. This workshop is $200 for VBMA Members and $235 for nonmembers.
Following the workshop at 3 p.m., Jill Nathanson will lead an engaging walkthrough of the exhibition Chromatic Phrases and share insights into her creative process and studio practices, offering a deeper look at the evolution of her layered works and how she brings them to life. This walkthrough is free for VBMA Members and $12 for nonmembers. Space is limited; advanced registration is required.
Chromatic Phrases is curated by Chief Curator Caitlin Swindell and organized by the Vero Beach Museum of Art. The exhibition is on view through February 7, 2027. All works shown are loans courtesy of the artist and Berry Campbell Gallery, New York.
