Riverside Theatre offers The Loop, local musicians play The Loop Outdoor Stage on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. | Saturday, October 10, Tanner Goulet Electric Quintet (Jazz) | Thursday, October 15, The Lionheart Band (Reggae, Calypso & Variety Dance) | Friday, October 16, Rockin Rx (a band of local doctors and music pros – rock, funk and dance hits) | Saturday, October 17, GenX (music from the 70’s to today)

McKee Botanical Garden exhibits Return of the Wild Oct. 10 through Dec. 2027. Gillie & Marc’s globally recognized animal sculptures, set along McKee’s winding paths, beneath towering palms and ancient oaks, evoke the history of the Garden when animals once called the jungle home.

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Second Saturday on Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. Admission is free every second Saturday of the month. Second Saturdays features a variety of cultural offerings, including the widely popular Museums Studios for families. Activities vary each month.

Riverside Theatre offers Playtime in the Park on Oct. 10, 11:00 a.m. Student performers present original interactive stories surrounding a major theme of the month, inviting young audience members to join the story in fun and imaginative ways. This show is an exciting and inclusive experience for all ages.

Environmental Learning Center hosts Family Paddle Pro Class Oct 10, 1:30 p.m. Presented in partnership with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. This classroom-style workshop covers essential paddling safety, equipment, and navigation tips for kayakers and paddleboarders of all experience levels. Bring the whole family and gain the knowledge to enjoy your next adventure on the water safely!

The Emerson Center presents John Simon Oct. 10 at 4:00 p.m. Music lovers are invited to enjoy an unforgettable afternoon of music and storytelling as legendary producer, composer, pianist, and songwriter John Simon performs. Admission is free, suggested donation, reservations required. 

Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce presents Sunset Saturday Night Concert Series, Oct. 10 at 5:00 p.m. Free public concerts on Ocean Drive in front of Humiston Park.

Pelican Island Audubon Society holds a General Meeting. Oct. 12 at 6:00 p.m. Diane Morgan presents The Rights Of Rivers: Reimagining Personhood at the North County Library in Sebastian. Free and open to the public.

McKee Botanical Garden offers Wonders of McKee Garden Tours Oct. 13, 10:30 a.m. Weekly guided strolls where you’ll learn about the remarkable story behind McKee’s historic tropical oasis. Not intended for groups or school tours.

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Museum Stories at VBMA Oct. 14 at 9:30 a.m. Every Wednesday at the VBMA unless closed for holiday. A theme-based, participatory program for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers that includes reading books, singing songs, dancing, and creating art together. Museum Stories takes place in the VBMA’s Art Zone.  9:30-10:30 a.m. (0-24 months) and 10:30-11:30 a.m. (2-4 years).

Cultural Council of Indian River County presents its annual Arts and Cultural Guide Reveal Party Oct. 14 at 4:00 p.m.  Mix, mingle, enjoy light hors d’oeuvres. Pick up a copy of the 2026-2027 Guide for yourself or grab a boxful for your clients and customers. Held at the Kilted Mermaid, 1937 Old Dixie Highway.

Vero Beach Museum of Art offers Cork, Canvas & Co. Oct. 15, 6:30 p.m. A professional instructor will guide and assist registered participants to create their artworks. Art materials are provided, and participants can bring their own beverages and snacks. No experience is necessary! BYOB and snacks, ticket required.

Riverside Theatre presents My Vaudeville Man! Oct. 15 – Nov. 22, times vary.  A stirring two-person musical inspired by the true story of vaudeville performer Jack Donahue and his devoted mother, Mud—dazzling tap numbers, tender duets, and the enduring bond between parent and child.

McKee Botanical Garden offers McKee Community Days Oct. 17 & 18.  $5.00 Admission with proof of Indian River County Residency.

Environmental Learning Center presents Little Wonders Oct. 17, 10:00 & 11:30 a.m. A nature enrichment and early literacy program geared for children 2-5 years old accompanied by a caregiver (additional guests pay admission fee). Outdoor exposure benefits humans in so many ways, yet we do not spend enough time outside.

Vero Beach Museum of Art presents Artist Walkthrough: Chromatic Phrases with Jill Nathanson Oct 17 at 3:00 p.m. Nathanson will share firsthand insights into her creative process and studio practices, offering a deeper look at the evolution of her layered works and how she brings them to life. Pre-registration required.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County exhibit at the Indian River County Courthouse, 2000 16th Avenue, Vero Beach. Currently on view The Butterfly Project, a collaborative exhibit between Community One Initiative and the Indian River School District to commemorate Remembrance of children lost in the holocaust.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County is on exhibit in the Indian River County Administration Buildings A and B. Free To Be is the theme.  Featured Artist Members Jen Berlin, Mary Carter, Tony Caruso and David Kurland. On view to Oct 19.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County is on Exhibit at Vero Beach City Hall, 1053 20th Place until Oct. 22. The Nature of Things is the theme. Hallway gallery features works by Sheila McAvoy. Council Chamber gallery features works by Robin Woodward.

James Prosek: At Work

Vero Beach Museum of Art presents James Prosek: At Work on view to Oct. 25 in the Holmes Gallery. This exhibition celebrates the significant projects that define the artist’s first 30 years of art making. This comprehensive survey presents the remarkable breadth of his practice, from on-the-spot field studies to studio work in painting, watercolor, and sculpture.

Artists Guild Gallery presents Weekly Fine Art Exhibit to Oct. 31.  Enjoy an ever-changing fine art exhibit by Award-Winning Local Artists at the Artists Guild Gallery from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday thru Friday, as well as the Saturday after Gallery Stroll. 

Gallery 14 presents Land, Sea and Sky: Prints by John H. C. Davis and Degrees of Saturation: Paintings by Vicki Morrison to Oct. 31. Gallery 14 is open October through May, Tuesday through Friday 10:00-5:00p.m. and Sat. 10:00-4:00p.m. 

Florida Art Chix Gallery presents “Turning of the Season,” works by Guest Artists and Gallery Owners Camy De Mario and Judy Burgarella. Exhibit on view to Oct. 31, hours Tues.-Fri. 11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County is on exhibit at Indian River County Intergenerational Recreation Center, 1590 9th Street SW. The theme is Through Their Eyes, an Audubon Advocates Program.  Photography by 5th Grade students from local schools. On view to Nov. 17.  

Art in Public Places Program sponsored by the Cultural Council of Indian River County in conjunction with Mandy and Ray Hooker invite you to a viewing at Indian River Distillery. Exhibit Theme: “Stories by the Still: Old Florida” featuring works by Artist Members. Exhibit runs to January 21. 

Vero Beach Museum of Art presents Jill Nathanson: Chromatic Phrases in Schumann and Titelman galleries. This exhibition presents recent work by Jill Nathanson, whose abstract paintings are shaped through a deliberate process that balances spontaneity with a predetermined structure. In her work, color does not remain fixed or purely descriptive but instead suggests movement as it is shaped by the interaction of light and perception. Exhibit continues to Feb. 7, 2027.
