Frank V. Iaccarino was born in Jersey City, NJ on July 19, 1927 and died on Monday, December 16, 2013. After working 39 years at General Foods Corporation, the last 12 years Frank worked as their financial manager in the central engineering division. He voluntarily retired in 1984 and moved from Blauvelt, NY to Vero Beach, FL. During his years in Blauvelt, he was active in the Blauvelt volunteer fire department. While in Vero Beach he volunteered numerous hours of his time to the Council on Aging, the Gifford Youth Center, Habitat for Humanities, The Vero Beach Anglers Club and served on many committees at the Grove Isle Condominium Association. Frank is survived by his wife, Miriam, and he was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, who passed away in 1978. Frank is also survived by his children with Elaine, John and Thomas, as well as six grandchildren, Steven, Lisa, Michelle, Angela, all of Monroe, NY, and Lisa and Robert of Frederick and Thermont, MD. A Funeral Service will be given by Father Michael Goldberg at Aycock Funeral Home, in Fort Pierce on Friday, December 20th at 1:00pm. An Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce. Arrangements are under the care of Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL. (12/19/13)

Jennings, GaryGary Lee Jennings, 57, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House surrounded by love and family. Gary was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and moved to Vero Beach in 2011 after living in the Florida Keys for 20 years. Gary was a good man…a talented and generous musician, a loving companion, and a great friend. He lived his life with spirit and strength until the end. He is survived by the love of his life Cindy Lawson of Vero Beach, his mother Martha Zuber, his sister Lynne Jennings Yellen, his brother Russell Jennings, his daughter Nicole, two grandchildren and an extended musical family; he was preceded in death by his daughter Michelle. At Gary’s request there will be no formal memorial service. It was his wish that your memories of him should give you joy. Donations in Gary’s name can be made to the VNA Hospice of the Treasure Coast. Rest in peace, Gary.

Shambora, WilliamColonel William Edward Shambora, Jr., passed away peacefully in his home December 16, 2013. 


Bill was born July 25, 1927. He graduated from West Point in 1950 and married his sweetheart, Ann Kemp Shambora. He served his country as an officer in the U.S. Army for 30 years, receiving a Purple Heart and Bronze star with Oak Leaf Cluster along with other medals and honors . 


Bill retired to Vero Beach in 1974. He is survived by six children, William E. Shambora III (Wai Ying); Cheryl Shambora (Tony DeCarli); Meg Offutt; Diane Jarrell (Glenn Boyd); Denise (Ray) Metz; and Robert Douglas Shambora (Diana); and eight grandchildren, Niki Offutt (Adilson) Perinei ; Mark (Becky) Metz; Victor Shambora; Eddie (Ana Lucia) Jarrell; Amanda, Jackie, Matt and Sam Metz; and two great grandchildren, Delta Sofia Perinei and Hudson Graves Metz.
