Milt_Thomas xmas tree borderThis week, the inaugural issue of Inside Vero Extra was delivered to 8,000 single-family residences in the central beach area and between 26th Street and 8th Street east of 58th Avenue.  An additional 2,000 copies are available throughout the community in businesses, offices, restaurants and public buildings.

In response to the inaugural issue of Inside Vero Extra, a number of people have written inquiring about delivery.  One reader wrote, “I am lucky enough to have a son living in the area that received your “Extra” paper yesterday and he brought it over for me to read today. It was wonderful!  I had heard on the radio that your were going to go to a weekly – hooray!!  Since I am just out of the area receiving Extra, can I possibly pay for a subscription?…Thanks!”

While Inside Vero Extra’s initial distribution is 10,000 within the designated delivery area, circulation will gradually be expanded, and we invite home deliver requests to be made to insidevero@gmail.com.    We are currently not delivering to apartment complexes and condominiums, though we are open to requests from property managers and representatives of homesowners associations.

Inside Vero Extra is published and edited by Mark Schumann and Milt Thomas, both long-time residents of Vero Beach and Indian River County.  Contributing writers include Janie Gould and Ed Taylor, both Vero Beach natives.  Other contributing writers include Kelly Coleman, Stephanie Herzog, Pat Lavins, Derek Muller and Jason Redmon. Marsha Damerow, also a Vero Beach native, serves as art director, and is assisted by Bethany Burt. To inquire about advertising, call Martine Fecteau as 772-696-2004, or Kelly Coleman at 696-5233.

  1. Thanks, Mark! Great paper! Enjoyed reading it. I have some people asking him if there is a way to subscribe to it since they live outside the city limits. Please advise.

  2. Glad you enjoyed the paper, Alla. We are currently not set up to handle subscriptions, but we will be expanding the points of distribution within the city. For example, customers of the Village Beach market who live north of Pebble Bay could pick the paper up there, if they can prevail on the management there to carry the paper.

  3. Great paper, Mark! We both really enjoyed reading it! I also love the online paper as well. While this paper offers different perspectives on issues at hand, we get a chance to see both sides of the story. Thanks for a fresh new way of looking at our community, while also getting the latest local news!
