Riverside Theatre presents “Ring of Fire – The Music of Johnny Cash” with performances from October 25 to November 15. From the songbook of iconic artist Johnny Cash comes this crowd-pleasin’, foot-stompin’ musical celebration that tells a fascinating story of love and faith, struggle and success, rowdiness and redemption, and home and family. Saint Edwards School presents The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) on October 26th and 27th at 7pm in the Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28

The Environmental Learning Center invites families to “Half Haunted Halloween” on Friday, October 28 from 4 to 7 pm. The ELC’s Education Staff has cooked up a not-so-spooky stew of nighttime nature activities. Live music will be provided by Heart of Oak. Costumes are optional; admission is $5 for Adults and Children 12 & over; FREE for children under 12 & ELC Members.

Signature Art Gallery of Vero, 4344 US Highway 1, will be holding its raffle drawing on Friday, October 28th at 5 pm to choose the winner of a print on aluminum of “Under the Oaks” by Matt Beyrer. Christ by the Sea United Methodist Church continues its “Pumpkin Patch” with a festival day on Saturday, October 29 with Bounce House, Face-Painting, Hay rides, Baked Goods and more!

Participate in the City of Vero Beach Recreation Department’s 58th Annual Halloween Parade and Costume Contest on Saturday, October 29th. Line up begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Vero Beach Women’s Club (1534 21st Street). The parade starts at 10 a.m. walking east onto 21st Street and then north on 14th Avenue ending at the Vero Beach Community Center where the costume contest will be held. Everyone is encouraged to dress up and walk in the parade; however, goody bags and contest are for children only. Enter a float or walking group – no entry fee! SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30

On Sunday, October 30 at 3 pm, the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra will perform “Titanic: A Tribute to James Horner” with Horner film scores and movie clips on screen. Horner composed some of the greatest and most popular film scores. The concert will be held at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center. Join Magic Carpet Ride for a Halloween adventure! On Monday, October 31 travel aboard the new, vintage-style Treasure Coast Trolley to Fellsmere while a docent from the Indian River County Historical Society spins tales about the Western area of our county. Two graveyards will be visited, followed by dinner at the Marsh Landing restaurant. A paranormal expert will also share information that may send shivers up your spine.
