Brevard Symphony to perform in Vero Beach March 4

Beautiful music is what the Brevard Symphony Orchestra has been bringing to Vero Beach for years. And it is doing it again on Sunday, March 4th. This concert, sponsored by the Indian River Symphonic Association, and conducted by the gifted maestro Christopher Confessore, begins with an enchanting overture—the Overture to Rosamunde by Schubert, a much-loved piece that has been used for films such as Hans Christian Andersen and The Avengers.

The concert’s featured soloist is the young, award-winning violinist Paul Huang, whom the critics have praised as having a “magical talent”… with “stylish and polished playing”…”the star of the evening!” He will be performing the Violin Concerto by the Pulitzer Prize and Grammy winning American composer, Samuel Barber. Mr. Huang tours with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and among his many awards are the Lincoln Center Award for Emerging Artists, as well as the coveted Avery Fisher award. To round out the evening in dramatic style, the orchestra will perform Dvorak’s spirited Sixth Symphony.

The concert will be on March 4 at the Community Church of Vero Beach, 1901 23rd Street, 7:30pm. For tickets and season subscription information call 772-778-1070, or order online at
