The travel film “Art Trails of the Riviera” will be shown by the Friends of the North Indian River County Library on Thursday, February 8th, from 2-3 p.m. at the Library. Join Kate Comer as she searches out the studios, homes and favorite playgrounds of some of the greatest artists of the modern era who made the south of France their home.  Free.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8 & 9

The Center for Spiritual Care, 1550 24 Street in Vero Beach begins two new workshops this week: Aromatherapy Workshop with Rita Bernstein, Clinical Aromatherapist on Thursdays, February 8 and 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  (Introductory session is $20, cost of both sessions is $30.0; and Glimpses of the Wisdom of the Mystics with Gini Grommes, M.Ed., Spiritual Director/Leader on Fridays, February 9th and 16th from 9:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  ($20 by February 6). The Vero Beach Art Club presents “Art on the Island” a display of unique 3-D art at Marsh Island Club.  The opening reception and awards will be on Friday February 9 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.  The exhibit and sale continues on Saturday & Sunday, February 10 & 11 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

ChamberFest Vero Beach is a new chamber music festival that integrates world-class performances with engaging hands-on workshops and thought-provoking discussions.   The festival runs from February 5-11 with free public performances at the First Presbyterian Church Vero Beach on Thursday February 8, Friday February 9 and Saturday February 10 at 7:30pm.  For information visit musicbeyondthechamber.org.

SATURDAY,  FEBRUARY 10

The British are coming! The British are coming!…to McKee Botanical Garden at the 9th Annual Motor Car Exhibition on Saturday, February 10, from 10 am to 3 pm.  Forty classic and current British cars and motorcycles will be on display throughout the lush tropical landscape of McKee, ranging from a 1931 Bentley 8 Liter to the latest 710 horsepower 2018 McLaren.  This year’s car show is being held in conjunction with McKee’s It’s A Jungle Out There! Exhibition.  General admission rates apply.  $12 Adults, $11 Seniors, $8 Children ages 3-12.  McKee members and children under 3 free.

Main Street Vero Beach’s Vintage Market will be held on Saturday, February 10 from 9 am to 4 pm.  Shop local for vintage wares from pop-up boutique vendors along 14th Avenue in Downtown Vero Beach. This event is FREE to attend.

The Community Church of Vero Beach’s Concert Series continues on Saturday, February 10 at 4 pm with the Treasure Coast Handbell Festival.  Experience the joy of ringing as various handbell choirs from around the Treasure Coast come together in concert, featuring solo choirs and mass choir rings. The Cultural Council of Indian River County is the Charity of the Evening at the Oceanside Business Association’s Sunset Saturday Night om February 10 from 5:30 to 8 pm on Ocean Drive at Humiston Park.  Enjoy live music by Wiley Nash as well as vendors and food booths.

The Vero Beach Theatre Guild is holding  an exquisite Dinner Gala & Silent Auction on Saturday, February 10 at the Vero Beach County Club beginning at 6 pm. SUNDAY, FEBUARY 11

Christ by the Sea United Methodist Church presents “Broadway Concert” on Sunday, February 11 at 3 pm.  Singers Tee Rockwell, Tania Ortega-Cowan, Kyle Jones, and Edmund Nalzaro join Marcos Flores on the piano, Pete Hengen on the bass, and Gully Shell on percussion on the sequel of the sell-out concert two years ago.  Purchase tickets ($25/$10) atcbtsumc.org/concert-series/.

The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra will perform “Fan Favorites,” a concert chock-full of the biggest and best symphonic works by Gershwin, Stravinsky, Respighi, Rimsky-Korsakov, Prokofiev, Debussy, Ravel, Grieg, and more on Sunday, February 11 at 3 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church. A 2017 Van Cliburn piano competition quarterfinalist, Sergey Belyavskiy (at left) joins the orchestra to perform Gershwin’s popular Rhapsody in Blue.  $20 advance tickets for adults are available at SpaceCoastSymphony.org. Tickets at the door are $25.  The concert is free for those aged 18 and under or with a student ID.

MusicWorks, Inc. presents Poco in concert at the Emerson Center on Thursday, February 15 at 7 pm.  Poco is a Southern California country rock band originally formed following the demise of Buffalo Springfield in 1968.
