THURSDAY, MARCH 15

Two films, Sea Turtles and Dolphins, will be shown by the Friends of the North Indian River County Library on Thursday, March 15, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the Library.  Free.

Nancy Johnson, the Laughing Lady, will hold a “Laugh & Learn” session on Thursday, March 15 at 10:30 am at the North Indian River County Library.  Start the day with smiles & laughter!

The Atlantic Classical Orchestra presents Masterworks III: Amadeus on Thursday, March 15 at 7:30 pm at the Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts at Saint Edwards School campus in Vero Beach.  Arrive early for a pre-concert lecture at 6:40 pm.  Pieces to be performed include: Mozart Serenade no. 6 in D Major, K. 239; Mozart Concerto for Flute, Harp and Orchestra in C Major, K. 527 and Mozart Symphony no. 40 in G Minor, K. 550.  For ticket information call the ACO office at 772.460.0850.

The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra is sponsoring the Yale Spizzwinks(?) in concert on Thursday, March 15 at 7 pm at St. John of the Cross Catholic Chruch, 7550 26th Street in Vero Beach.  The Yale Spizzwinks(?) are America’s first and oldest underclassman a cappella group.  Since 1914, they’ve entertained audiences around the world with their close harmony arrangements, energetic style and fast wit. McKee Botanical Garden is hosting a Garden & Antique Show and Sale on Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17th from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, March 18 from 11 am to 4 pm.  Visit antique and art vendors showcasing a broad range of exquisite and diverse antique furniture, paintings, outdoor garden benches and fountains, garden accessories, statuary, oriental rugs, estate jewelry, and more.  The last admission ticket is sold at 4 pm. The Treasure Coast Jazz Society presents Lisa Kelly and JB Scott Sextet with Dave Steinmeyer in concert on Saturday, March 17 at 12:30 pm at the Vero Heritage Center, 2140 14th Avenue in Vero Beach.  The Lisa Kelly and JB Scott Sextet (KellyScottMusic.com) features six musicians who have played across the country and around the world. The 2018 Environmental Learning Center’s Adventures in Learning Lecture Series continues with “Designing Green Healthy Cities for all” on March 18 at  2:30 and 4:30 pm.  The presenter will be Jenna Cramer, a green building and communities expert. The Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center presents the Red, White & Blue Concert (The 25th Anniversary Spectacular) on Sunday, March 18 at 2:00 pm, Monday, March 19 at 7:00 pm and Tuesday, March 20 at 7:00 pm.  This 25th Anniversary Spectacular features the Vero Beach High School Concert, Symphonic and Jazz Bands performing music by American composers.
