McKee Botanical Garden is proud to be a Blue Star Museum and one of more than 2,000 museums across America to offer free admission to military personnel and their families this summer. McKee Botanical Garden will offer free admission to the nation’s active duty military personnel and their families through Labor Day, September 3. The program provides families an opportunity to enjoy the nation’s cultural heritage and to learn more about their community.
RIVERSIDE THEATRE ANNOUNCES SINGLE TICKETS ON SALE FOR NEXT SEASON’S PRODUCTIONS!
The Riverside Theatre season begins in October with a musical journey through the Leiber and Stoller songbook with Smokey Joe’s Café followed in January by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s first mega-hit, Evita. The Last Romance, Joe DiPietro’s engaging comedy about finding love near the end of life’s rainbow takes the stage in February followed by two Broadway musical hits, the classic My Fair Lady and the energetically cheerful Legally Blonde. Two distinctive theatre pieces play the Waxlax Stage – the award-winning musical Next To Normal in January and Ghostwriter in March. The First Friday Gallery Stroll will be held from 5 to 8 pm in the Vero Beach Downtown Art District on June 1. Raw Space announces its next exhibition, “Summer Collective II” showcasing sculptures, paintings, photographs and mixed media rendered by international and local artists. Artist Guild Gallery presents “Birds of Paradise” original paintings by Gallery Partners on exhibit through June. Gallery 14 is featuring Potpourri II through June 22. Featured will be new work and familiar favorites in oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, collage, sculpture, ceramic, jewelry, and photography, by artist-owners.Polackwich. Main Street Vero Beach’s featured guest artist for June is painter, Stefan Duris. The Unity Spiritual Center, 950 43 Avenue in Vero Beach, is hosting Have Pianos, Will Duel on Saturday, June 2, at 6 pm. Some of the brightest music students from Indian River County High Schools will join Dr. Ray Adams and Jacob Craig for this dueling pianos concert. Doors will open at 5:15 pm. Dance Space presents Dance Space Spectacular 2018 featuring their students performing Saturday, June 2 at 2 pm at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center. SUNDAY, JUNE 3
The Treasure Coast Chorale, has announced a “road trip” for the 60-voice singing group on Sunday, June 3 at 4 pm at First Baptist Church of Vero Beach. All of the songs will take the audience from New York, through the midlands, to San Francisco. Visit the lands of John Denver (West Virginia, Colorado, Grandma’s House), Oklahoma (Oh, What A Beautiful Morning, Surrey with a Fringe) and travel on Route 66 (Chicago to California). The finale will include a rousing Sing-Along for those who just can’t resist joining in. Also joining the Treasure Coast Chorale will be singing trio “The Dolls,” guitarist Dave Mundy, drummer Richie Mola, and pianist Judy Carter. Doors will open for seating at 3 p.m. for the Matinee concert and the audience is encouraged to arrive early. There is no admission charge but the audience will be asked for a suggested $10 a person donation to show their appreciation for this musical gift to the community.
