Adams Media Group today announced that CEO Carrie Adams has joined the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors. The Chamber officially appointed Adams as member of the board of directors on Tuesday, June 18, at its monthly board meeting in downtown Vero Beach.
“Carrie Adams’ recent appointment to the Indian River County Chamber’s board of directors is well deserved,” said former Chamber President Penny Chandler. “She has served as an unwavering Chamber volunteer for over a decade. Carrie has been involved in almost every aspect of the Chamber organization including fundraising and as an Advisory Committee member for the Chamber’s Established Professional Network. She is a 2012 graduate of Leadership Indian River County and serves with the Chamber’s Ambassadors program. After opening Adams Media Group, she
encouraged her employees to become involved in the organization as well. Carrie has earned her new position on the Chamber’s board of directors and will be a valuable asset to the Chamber’s leadership.”
As director, Adams is responsible for representing the chamber and the community while assisting the board in promoting positive economic growth and preserving Indian River County citizens’ quality of life. “I felt so honored when Penny Chandler asked me if I would like to join the Chamber’s
board of directors,” said Adams. “I look forward to donating my time and talent to the organization in this capacity.”
Adams founded Vero Beach-based Adams Media Group in 2013. Adams is actively involved in the local community through various volunteer and sponsorship programs for the We Care Foundation of Indian River and the Senior Resource Association’s Meals On Wheels program. She has served as ambassador for the Indian River Chamber of Commerce since 2009. Adams is chairwoman of Senior Resource Association’s board of directors and is an active member of the Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce.
