In her professional career, Mrs. Hillman worked for AT&T in Connecticut and Publix Corporation here in Vero Beach.
Her platform states she cares deeply about the quality of life in Vero Beach. She is interested in strategic decision making on the issues that make Vero Beach an economically viable small town with abundant natural resources. Linda’s statement about City Council is “Advocating for Vero Beach is a part of who I am, because I feel so fortunate to live in this truly unique and special place. I believe we are at a crucial point to protect the City of Vero Beach and our wonderful lifestyle. We need to balance remaining a city that supports itself while upholding the Charter and saving our city parks and public buildings. The Indian River Lagoon deserves our immediate attention and I would like the City of Vero Beach to be a leader in that effort. Height restrictions must remain in place to protect property values and Vero Beach’s identity as a desirable place to live. Long Range planning should be on the City of Vero Beach’s active To Do list.”
Linda Hillman’s campaign slogan is “Vero Strong” TM and her email is voteverostrong@gmail.com for more information and campaign related communication. The Vero Beach City Council election is November 6th and three of the five positions are on the ballot.
Glad to see some good people running for Council, I believe Linda will make an excellent choice for Council.
