Gallery 14 presents preview of October show: Sweeney: Spread the Love, fundraiser for Children’s Home Society


Painting by artist Christopher Sweeney to be raffled off for fundraiser.

Gallery 14 will hold a reception on Friday August 3rd from 5-8pm, to preview artist Christopher Sweeney’s exciting ‘coming soon’ October show entitled, SWEENEY: Spread the Love.  This upcoming month-long festival of the artist’s work will benefit The Children’s Home Society Transitional Home.  Attendees at the August Reception will be able to buy a raffle ticket to win a 30×40 piece created by the artist, entitled: Stretched Heart.  All proceeds from the raffle will go to the charitable organization.  The noted street mural and pop artist, whose butterflies now adorn varying streets of the Downtown Arts District, will be in attendance to launch the fundraiser. ​ The raffle sale will continue at the Gallery through October, with the winning ticket drawing to take place at a ‘Last Call’ Reception to be held on Friday October 26th.

Also, ​at the August Reception will be a continuation of Gallery 14’s Potpourri 3: New Work and Old Favorites by Gallery 14 Artists, which features oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, collage, sculpture, ceramic, jewelry, and photography, by artist-owners: Edgardo Abello, Lila Blakeslee, Barbara du Pont, Beth-Anne Fairchild, Mary Ann Hall, Barbara Landry, Deborah Morrell Polackwich, and Dorothy Napp Schindel.  On display, as well, will be work by Walford Campbell, Joan Earnhart, Diana Feuer, Terry Green, Mia Lindberg, Viola Pace Knudsen, Francis Mesaros, Michael Robinson, Carol Staub and Jo Zaza.  Gallery 14 is located at 1911 14th Avenue in the Downtown, Historic Arts District of Vero Beach.
