Touch A Truck Family Festival comes to Indian River

NEWS RELEASE

Children can learn about & explore the vehicles, hands on.

The Kindergarten Readiness Collaborative is pleased to announce the Touch A Truck Family Festival will once again return to Indian River County thanks to PNC’s Grow Up Great program.

Touch A Truck Family Festival allows hundreds of children of all ages to see, feel and experience trucks first-hand. Through tactile learning, children experience the environment more fully by gathering a variety of clues from the textures and sensations of objects around them. A child’s sense of touch is essential to their daily lives and is an “enormous vehicle” to learning. Plus, it’s a lot of fun.

There will be tons of stimulating activities including big, cool trucks to explore. All children will receive a free book and if your little one has sensitive ears, join us for the first hour which is “honk free.”

The KRC still has a few spots left to showcase trucks outside, as well as opportunities for non-profits, preschools, and government agencies inside. Register on our website www.krcirc.org, call 772-617-4350, or email KindergartenReadinessIRC@gmail.com for more information. We are also accepting volunteers for this wonderful event. Volunteers will get a free T-shirt, food, and water. Tickets will be available at the door.

WHERE: Indian River County Fairgrounds, 7955 58th Ave, Vero Beach, FL 32967

WHEN: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018
