Genealogical Society presents “Building a Research Toolbox”


The Indian River Genealogical Society is pleased to announce Thomas MacEntee as our program speaker appearing via a live webinar at our regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. The meeting will be held at the Indian River County Main Library, 1600 21st Street, Vero Beach, Florida. The business meeting convenes at 10:00 am, followed by light refreshments and the program. The meeting is free and open to the public.

What happens when a “tech guy” with a love for history gets laid off during The Great Recession of 2008? You get Thomas MacEntee, a genealogy professional based in the United States who is also a blogger, educator, author, social media connector, online community builder and more. Thomas has over 42 years of experience researching family history.

Thomas was laid off after a 25-year career in the information  technology field, so he started his own genealogy business called High Definition Genealogy. Currently Thomas shares many of his articles and videos for free at Abundant    Genealogy and also runs the popular Genealogy Bargains and DNA Bargains websites.

Learn not only some of the most important online resources for genealogical research, but also how to organize these resources into an easy-to-access and portable virtual toolbox.
