The Center for Spiritual Care, 1550 24 Street in Vero Beach is hosting a workshop titled  Health & Wellness: A Look at Pattern Therapy with Scott Kingsbury on Wednesday, April 24 at 8:30 pm.  Scott will offer insights for natural choices to help relieve recurring headaches, low back pain, arthritis, joint pain, fibromyalgia, asthma, allergies and depression. The Friends of the North Indian River County Library are showing Part 4 of America’s Untold Story on Thursday, April 25th at 2 pm.  St. Augustine, the first permanent European settlement in the United States, was founded in 1565 by a melting pot of Spanish, Africans, Italians, Germans, Irish and converted Jews who integrated almost immediately with the indigenous tribes. America’s Untold Story uncovers the story of America’s past that never made it into textbooks.   Free.

FRIDAY,  APRIL 26 – MAY 5

Riverside Theatre For Kids:  Junie B. Jones April 26 – May 5.  A delightful musical adaptation of the children’s book about a young girl, who is “almost six,” and the adventures she encounters on her first day of school, and beyond. Tickets $10.

The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce features the band, Mixers, in concert on Friday, April  26 at Riverview Park from 5:30 to 8 pm.  The concert is free.  Bring a lawn chair.  Food and drink will be available for purchase.

The Vero Beach Elks Lodge, 1250 26th Street, is having a Chicken Parmesan with pasta and salad dinner for $12, at 6 pm on Friday, April 26.  Enjoy music by Rebel Rousers from 6:30-9:30 pm.  Kards 4 Kids at 6:30. pm. Call 772-562-8450 after 1 pm for reservations.

The Sunrise Theatre in Fort Pierce presents Great Britain’s rock ‘n’ roll tribute show,  One Night of Queen on Friday, April 26 at 8 pm.  Scottish vocalist Gary Mullen is a legend in his homeland for his uncanny ability to channel the late, great Queen front man Freddie Mercury. One Night of Queen stars Gary and his band, The Works, and it’s a high-energy, fully-realized Queen concert, featuring state-of-the-art lights, effects, and those classic songs: Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are the Champions, Another One Bites the Dust and We Will Rock You, among many others!

The Center for Spiritual Care, 1550 24 Street in Vero Beach is hosting a workshop titled Unleash Your Creativity with Centering Prayer and Soul Collage with Judy Kahler will be held on Friday, April 26 from 9 am to 4:30 pm.  Explore and release your creativity. We will co-partner with the ever-present creative energy from which you were fashioned and eliminate blocks through meditation and collage. $60 registration fee includes lunch. 2019 CHILDREN’S ART FESTIVAL

The Vero Beach Museum of Art is hosting the 2019 Childrens Art Festival on Saturday, April 27 from 10 am to 3 pm.  This Vero Beach Centennial event is a free family event includes fun art projects in the Museum’s art studios, performances by local youth, Kid-friendly tours of the Victorian Radicals exhibition, Catering by Wood n Spoon Cafe, Seaside Fun snowballs and playtime in the Art Zone.  Registration is not required.

The descendants of early pioneer Edward Walter Hamilton will be honored as the 20th annual Pioneer Family Dinner on April 27 at the Heritage Center in downtown Vero Beach.  Guests will hear a presentation about the family during the dinner, which will be preceded by a reception at 6 pm.  Tickets are $75 per person.  To reserve tickets please call  Heather Stapleton at 772-770-2263.

SUNDAY, APRIL 28

The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra will perform the music of John Williams on Sunday, April 28 at 3 pm at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center.  Pieces to be performed are Superman, E.T., Jurassic Park, Hook, and Star Wars.  Also experience some of his more intimate scores such as Angela’s Ashes, Memoirs of a Geisha, Munich, Schindler’s List and more!  For tickets: SpaceCoastSymphony.org.

Calling all Scots! On Sunday, April 28, the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach will celebrate Kirkin’ O’ the Tartans Scottish blessing of the families during worship services at 9 am and 11 am in the church sanctuary.  Each service will feature performances by the local Scottish pipe band, the Vero Beach Pipes and Drums. Guests are invited to wear plaid, whether it is a kilt, trews, or just a small piece of plaid pinned to clothing. Tartan flags are also welcome.

Join the Cultural Council of Indian River County on Wednesday, May 8 at 6 pm at Riverside Theatre to celebrate the recipients of  the 2019 Laurel Awards and their contribution and service to the arts community in Indian River County.  The honorees are: Susan Schuyler Smith & Suzan Phillips, McKee Botanical Garden (Richard A. Stark Award for Cultural Leadership), Carol Ludwig, Center for Spiritual Care  (Alma Lee Loy Award for Volunteer Leadership),  Jacob Craig, Vero Beach Pipes and Drums (Willie C. Reagan Award for Educational Arts Leadership) and Ocean Drive Plastic Surgery, Dr. Alan Durkin, Owner (John J.
