Gallery 14 Presents Artful Animals II: A Show to Benefit “Indian River Community Cats” and “Dogs and Cats Forever”, A NO Kill Shelter. This special repeat of the popular fund raiser held at the Gallery in 2017, will focus on the welfare of animals and feature dog and cat themed work, as well as, artwork inspired by other animals – both domestic and wild. The pieces will be created by Gallery 14 artist-owners, the Gallery’s represented artists, and popular animal artists Georgina Love, Gail Damon and Keri Keene. A portion of each sale of specifically chosen pieces will go towards helping the two organizations. The show will run from April 30 to May 31 with a reception on Friday May 3 from 5-8pm as part of the Historic, Downtown First Friday Gallery Stroll.
‘Indian River Community Cats’ prevents future generations of homeless cats by implementing the humane practice of Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return. ‘Dogs and Cats Forever’ was founded on the following principles: finding good, adoptable and loving homes for the animals and stopping the killing of abandoned pets in southern Florida. Any healthy pet not adopted will have a safe and permanent home at the facility for the duration of its natural life. Both non-profits are 501C3 organizations that operate through donations and the good will of volunteers and members of the veterinary community.
In addition to the three guest artists revered for their portrayals of animals, this eclectic show will include work in oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, collage, sculpture, ceramic, jewelry, and photography, by Gallery 14 artist-owners: Edgardo Abello, Lila Blakeslee, Barbara du Pont, Beth-Anne Fairchild, Mary Ann Hall, Barbara Landry, Deborah Morrell Polackwich, and Dorothy Napp Schindel. On display as well, will be work by Walford Campbell, Joan Earnhart, Diana Feuer, Terry Green, Mia Lindberg, Viola Pace Knudsen, Francis Mesaros, Michael Robinson, and Carol Staub, as well as recent guest artists George Pillorgé and Derek Gores. Gallery 14 is located at 1911 14th Avenue in the Downtown, Historic Arts District of Vero Beach. Phone: 772 562-5525 OR visit: http://www.gallery14verobeach.com.
