NEWS FLASH

City Council today agreed unanimously to hire John Turner as Vero Beach City Attorney. Turner is currently with the Peterson Law Group in Ft. Myers with experience as a small town attorney and as a judge.
Next up was the subject of hiring an interim law firm for the 30 days or so until Turner is on board. There were three candidates, including the Vose Law Firm, that vied for the permanent City Attorney position. Each firm gave a short presentation, then several people spoke during public comments, all against the Vose firm. City Council decided to go with Gray Robinson of Gainesville.
At the same meeting and prior to the City Attorney discussion, Council member Harry Howle nominated Acting City Manager Monte Falls to become permanent City Manager. After brief discussion and public input, Council voted 5-0 to offer him the job, which he accepted.
Choice for City Manager was logical and well deserved! Best wishes to Monte for continued success…..
I finally agree with Jim on something! lol
Good move city council;all good choices.
