Centennial Parade Deadline is this month…Fill Out Your Application NOW!
We are just a few months away until the year-long calendar of Vero Beach Centennial activities conclude and a Finale Celebration is held on the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of the City. Saturday, October 26, 2019 is the day the community will come together for a good old-fashioned jubilee in historic downtown Vero Beach…filled with fun, food, entertainment, mingling with friends and family …all following a parade down 14th Avenue!
John Michael Matthews chairs the Centennial Parade, Vero Beach Through The Ages, and invites local organizations, schools, clowns, musicians, and businesses to participant. The committee is looking for floats, music, live entertainment and other creative ideas to enter the route that begins at 10 a.m. at the Vero Beach High School.
To fill out a participation form online, visit www.verobeach100.org Applications are currently available, deadline recommended by June 15 and applicants will be notified by July 16.

Vero Beach Wine & Film Festival

The Vero Beach Wine + Film Festival (VBWFF) is hailed as “The New Summer Sundance” by the Huffington Post. The “Top 100” film festival pairs compelling cinematic storytelling with global fine wines while highlighting the best of Vero Beach – art, natural beauty, eco-awareness, toe-baring lifestyle, emerging chefs and coastal hospitality as well as special Centennial events in honor of the City of Vero Beach.
This year’s festival theme, “A Wide Lens on Life” is inspired by the festival’s mission of connecting diverse visual artists with their audiences at a compelling, captivating cinematic celebration. Proceeds from the festival benefit Suncoast Mental Health Center. The center offers supportive services to children and families along the Treasure Coast, including St. Lucie, Indian River, Martin and Okeechobee counties. The Vero Beach Wine + Film Festival is a 501(c) (3) organization. VBWFF partner festivals include: Devour! Film Fest, Sonoma International Film Festival and the Wild & Scenic Film Festival.
VBWFF festival venues include: American Icon Brewery, Riverside Theatre, Vero Beach Museum of Art, Costa d’Este, Grind & Grape, WOW! Tasting Lounge Pavilion, Heritage Center, Vero Beach Theatre Guild, The Wave and the Vero Beach Hotel and Spa.

Cars are expected to merge together at the Indian River Fairgrounds featuring cars from the Treasure Coast and beyond! Historic Downtown Vero Beach transforms into an international festival….divided up into different continents allowing attendees to walk through different countries and have their passports stamped; Street vendors will be selling authentic clothing and merchandise from different countries; People can participate by dressing up in traditional clothing from their native countries; Stage will have a schedule of different types of dance/music from countries all over the world; Taste of the world Food Court will be at the Heritage Center; Historical Society would like to participate and use the community center for lectures and displays on the immigrants that played an important role in developing Vero Beach.

Burgers and Brews – An American Heritage Celebration
Kick off your Fourth of July week with America’s favorite things – burgers and brews! Burgers & Brews – An American Heritage Celebration is a free street festival open in beautiful downtown Vero Beach. The event will feature live music, specialty cuisine, the wildly popular Best Burger in Indian River County Competition, variety of brews, family-friendly games, a VIP tent which will feature Filthy’s Fine Cocktails & Beer infamous Bloody Mary, local street vendors, apple pie eating contest, a local celebrity dunk tank and free lawn seating. Celebrate Vero Beach’s Centennial by joining a historical walking tour of downtown Vero Beach and “Where’s Waldo?” scavenger hunt. Net proceeds benefit United Against Poverty of Indian River County
