McKee Botanical Garden is pleased to announce the addition of Triana Romero as Director of Development. Triana will be responsible for the development and implementation of fundraising initiatives, overseeing efforts of the Development Committee, Planned Giving and Garden Endowment, ongoing donor stewardship and constituency development, managing all levels of the membership program, sponsorship solicitations for events and exhibitions, grant applications, and direct mail solicitations.
Triana has an extensive fundraising, marketing and events background. She attended Jersey City State University and the University of Miami with a focus on Marketing. Triana most recently worked for the Treasure Coast Food Bank and was responsible for all aspects of fundraising including direct mail campaigns, online fundraising efforts, donor engagement and stewardship, grant applications and data integrity. Prior to that, she was the Director of Development and Communications for Save the Chimps for eight years and Donor Services Coordinator for two years.
Triana resides in Vero Beach with her partner, two children, and a variety of beloved family pets. She was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to Florida in 2006.
