Food Truck Frenzy “Feed the Soul” mental health awareness event

Join us on Saturday, October 19, as the Mental Health Collaborative of Indian River hosts the first Food Truck Frenzy, “Feed the Soul” event at Riverside Park, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Enjoy a variety of delicious food while watching demonstrations on  guided imagery, brief hypnosis, mindful meditation, Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong and more.

Enjoy music and win prizes while meeting mental health, substance abuse and other social  service providers offering help for you or your loved one.  Take a “Walk with a Therapist” for a few minutes and learn what therapy is all about.  Learn whether you may be eligible for primary care coverage offered by local providers.

Bring the kids who can play games, have their faces painted, and be entertained by “Bubbles”, throughout a fun-filled and enriching day under beautiful oak trees.

This is a “StigmaFreeIRC!” mental health awareness event, the first of its kind.  We guarantee that you will be glad you came!

About The Mental Health Collaborative

Formed in February 2004, the original Collaborative included the United Way of Indian River County, the Indian River County Hospital District and The Robert F. and Eleonora W. McCabe Foundation, plus the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, the Indian River Medical Center, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, the Vero Beach Police Department and the State of Florida Department of Children and Families Services. The original concept was to bring the partners together to work toward common goals for the benefit of our community.

The first three funding partners of the Collaborative included the United Way, The Indian River County Hospital District, and The Robert F. and Eleonora W. McCabe Foundation. Shortly thereafter the list grew to include the State of Florida, Indian River County and Indian River Medical Center.
