NEWS RELEASE
Riverside Theatre has been nominated for 43 Broadway World.com Awards (Orlando Region) for last season’s productions of Evita, My Fair Lady, Next To Normal, Legally Blonde, Ghost-Writer and The Last Romance.
With nominations for both professional and non-professional productions in eighteen categories, Riverside Theatre joins an impressive group of professional theaters in the Orlando region that create their own productions. All shows presented between September 2018 and August 2019 were eligible for nomination. The nominations not only cover performers on stage, but all design aspects of a show. Allen D. Cornell, Producing Artistic Director of Riverside Theatre, is one of only two directors with nominations in both the Musical and Play categories.
Theater patrons can vote for their favorite performer, production or director by going to www.broadwayworld.com/orlando/voteregion.cfm. Riverside Theatre’s nominations are under the Professional categories. Voting concludes on December 31st. Only one vote per email address. Winners will be announced in January 2020.
