Children in Indian River, St. Lucie, and Polk Counties will have a brighter and happier Christmas morning thanks to a ‘whole lotta love’ and some pretty terrific toys provided by staff members at all three Dyer Automotive Florida dealerships.  It seemed that all the employees at the Dyer Automotive Group had to do was hear that Covid and supply chain issues might cause a shortage of gifts for children in the community and soon the showrooms were overflowing with wonderful, new toys for children in need. Staff members from Dyer Chevrolet in Fort Pierce, Dyer Chevrolet, Mazda, and Subaru in Vero Beach and Dyer Chevrolet and Kia in Lake Wales were instantly deputized as Santa’s elves, somehow finding and procuring the most requested toys on every child’s wish list in time to be wrapped and delivered to children in need in each of the communities served by the dealerships.

In addition to collecting toys for the Toys for Tots Program, employees also chose to collect toys and Angel Tree gifts for children served by local organizations including the Sheriff’s Police Athletic League (PAL) Toy Run, Guardians for New Futures, and CareBag. According to Tatiana Dyer, “The Toys for Tots and Angel Tree gifts were one hundred percent funded by the employees, and it was incredibly touching. Their actions have really created an infectious spirit of giving within the team.”

Doing good in the community is nothing new for Dyer Automotive Group staff members in any of the three Florida locations. Since coming to Florida in 2008, staff members have met monthly to award $3,000 donations in each of the three counties to deserving nonprofit organizations as an acknowledgment and celebration of the charities’ good work and commitment to helping others. And while the staff members who turned into elves this year might not wear pointy shoes and jingle bells, there is little doubt that the kindness and generosity they exhibited during this Christmas season will be shared with their communities throughout the year.
