On January 10, 2022, Grand Harbor Golf and Beach Club will bring some of the world’s highest level women tennis professionals to Vero Beach. Representing over 30 countries, these players will be competing for a chance to win the 2022 Vero Beach International Open Tennis Tournament.
This US Tennis Association Women’s Pro Circuit Tournament features players ranked from 150 to 300 in the world and is considered a competitive pathway for up-and-coming tennis stars. In addition to their WTA ranking points, these players will be competing for $25,000 in prize money.
Not only is Grand Harbor hosting this world-class tennis tournament, but the Club will also be introducing one-of-a-kind social events. All events throughout the week are open to the public for all to enjoy.
Hosting this event will put Grand Harbor on the world map of tennis and further advance Grand Harbor’s vision of always moving forward. Marco Osorio, Director of Tennis put it so succinctly, “We are so proud to host this beautiful tournament for the enjoyment of our Grand Harbor family and the community, and to contribute to the Grand Life!”
On Tuesday, January 11th, Mayor Brackett and Sheriff Flowers will offer opening remarks to kick off our grand week at 5:30 p.m.
A fashion extravaganza featuring styles from local retail stores including Maus & Hoffman, J. McLaughlin and Grand Harbor Tennis & Golf Shops will provide stunning style for your enjoyment during a surf and turf dinner at 6:30 p.m. on January 12 at Grand Harbor’s main clubhouse. The cost is $40.00 per person.
Guests can also experience a professional art show orchestrated by Meredyth H. Moses. This is complimentary to all tournament ticket holders and will be accompanied by a pianist, elegant hors d’oeuvres and fine wine. Admire the artwork on display – some created by Grand Harbor Members. This will take place on January 13 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the main clubhouse.
And enjoy food from around the world at their Grand Gala event on Saturday, January 15 starting at 6 p.m. This upscale event is the finale of their week-long tennis tournament and will feature the 2022 debut of the Riptides Band and an international menu. This event is also open to the public at $60 per person.
The Vero Beach International Tennis Open officially begins on January 10th and will continue until January 16th at Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club.
