IRSC Performing Arts presents “Pippin”

arts & entertainment

The Indian River State College (IRSC) Performing Arts Program celebrates the 50th anniversary of the musical “Pippin,” with performances of composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz’ groundbreaking show March 10, 11, and 12 at 7:00 p.m. and March 12 at 2:00 p.m.

Indian River State College students Alyssa Leo, Adanna Moore, and Liam Allen-Kearney rehearse a scene from the musical “Pippen.”

This celebration of the anniversary of this classic Fosse musical masterpiece presents a young Pippin—Charlemagne’s son and crown prince of the Holy Roman Empire—as he searches for meaning in his life. The score features both pop and Motown-influences that bring the classics to life through the electrifying jazz dance styles of Bob Fosse.

Tickets for “Pippin” are $15 and are available for purchase at the IRSC Box Office located in the McAlpin Fine Arts Center on the Massey Campus at 3209 Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Questions about upcoming shows may be directed to Box Office staff Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. by sending email to boxoffice@irsc.edu or by calling 1-800-220-9915.
