Garden Club of Indian River County Christmas Ornament released for sale to the Community.  Marking the 31st year of producing the ornament, each year, featuring places in Indian River County that are near and dear to our hearts. Many residents enjoy collecting and gifting these ornaments and eagerly await their arrival. This year the Garden Club is happy to feature ‘Gardenfest!’. The brass ornament is adorned with our white trellis and colorful Bougainvillea. Celebrating the 20th year of this much-loved event, held each year on the first weekend in February under the oaks in Vero Beach. 20,000 people attend each year to find plants, herbs, various garden services, garden accessories and local business services. http://www.gardenclubofirc.org/ornaments/places-to-purchase/

The Comedy Zone at Riverside Theatre on October 21 & 22, 7 & 9 pm shows. Headliner Al Ernst has the ability to combine rudimentary motivational speaking with non-confrontational humor. Feature act Bob Catell has opened for notable comics such as Jimmy “JJ” Walker, Etta May, Al Ernst, Mark Riccadonna, Frank Del Pizzo, Mark Klein, and Jeff Jena. Steve Kalisik will be your emcee.

Live in the Loop at Riverside Theatre on October 21, 5:30 pm. Dave and the Wave is a premiere entertainment group from the Treasure Coast. From Classic Rock to Motown to R&B to Smooth Jazz, the Wave does it all! You’ll hear hits from: Van Morrison, Stephen Stills, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Otis Redding, and other music artists.

On October 22, 5:30 pm -The Real Deal plays music from The Doors, The Zombies, Creedence, Van Morrison, Santana, Steely Dan, Todd Rundgren, The Rascals, Queen, The Hollies, The Kinks, Badfinger, The Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and of course The Beatles!

Eat, Drink, and Be Scary for the Return of the Backus Boo Ball – the Halloween-themed Benefit for the Backus Museum on October 22, 6pm

The A.E. Backus Museum’s favorite Halloween-themed benefit event returns on Saturday, October 22 from 6 to 10pm on the Museum’s Outdoor Mural Plaza. Backus Boo Ball tickets are available online at www.BackusMuseum.org, or at the Museum at 500 North Indian River Drive in Historic Downtown Fort Pierce during regular hours.

Artists Guild Gallery is a fine-art gallery featuring original art by local artist-owners. Diverse styles and mediums are represented, and the art is changed, and rotated on a monthly basis. Classes are offered in oil, watercolor, acrylics, pastels, and drawing.  Located: 1974 14th Avenue, Vero Beach

Riverside Theatre for Kids presents Playtime in the Park, a brand new FREE program for the community’s youngest audience members.  

Riverside Theatre is having dance and theatre offerings from our education programs twice a month on Saturdays on the Theatre’s new outdoor Loop Stage.  These offerings are ideal for kids 2-5, but entertaining for parents and the whole family, too!

On the second Saturday of most months at 11am, theatre student performers will present original interactive fairy tale plays. Throughout the shows, young audience members will be encouraged to join in the stories in fun and exciting ways.

On the third Saturday of most months at 11am, faculty members and students of the dance education program along with professional dancers from Ballet Vero Beach will present dance-along classes, mini-performances, and more.

The Riverside Theatre Education Program is committed to promoting educational opportunities to students of all ages by producing quality work for young people and families and transforming lives through the study, exploration, and creation of theatre and dance.

Plan Ahead Super Secret White Party

Limited Tickets Available! The annual White Party will be held on November 4, starting at 6:30pm and benefits the Vero Beach Film Festival. The Festive Fundraiser will follow the same rules as in previous years:

  • All Guests must reserve their seats in advance online.
  • All Guests must wear the official party attire of “All White.”
  • All Guests must bring their own picnic supper, fine chinaware preferred.
  • All Guests are encouraged to bring items to decorate their tables. There will be prizes for the best Tablescapes!
  • NO HEELS – WEDGES ALLOWED

Spectacular venue, memorable music, unforgettable entertainment, and flowing champagne! The party location is kept secret until 48 hours before the event. Past White Parties have been held on the sand at South Beach, at the fountain Plaza at Royal Palm Pointe, on 14th Avenue Main Street, on a runway at Vero Beach Airport, and Tree House.
