Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach hosted the 11th Annual Florida Craft Brew and Wingfest on Royal Palm Pointe Saturday Feb 18th from 11:30-4pm

15 Wing Cooker Contestants vied for “Best Wings in Vero” Taking home first place restaurant division was Capp’s Pizza, 2nd place Garage Pizza and 3rd Outback

1st place in Independents was ” The Source” and 2nd place went to Kyle Simmons’ All Smoked up”

The Spirit Award went to Big Shots and the People Choice Award to “The Source”

There were other events during the day like a Wing Eating Contest…a newcomer took 1st place by beating out the past 2 years winner by 4/10ths of an ounce. Parrish Lore of Buffalo came in 1st while Jeff Berchtold 2nd. 

The Judges for the Best Wings in Vero came from the City of Vero Beach…Chief Curry, Jason Jefferies, Jim O’Connell, Sean Collins, Monty Falls and Brandon Dambeck. In two different judging sessions they got to look at for presentation, and taste each contestant’s wings without knowing whose they were tasting.
