The Treasure Coast is gearing up for one of the most anticipated rodeo events of the year as the Beast of the East Rodeo takes over Overpass Arena on April 24th and 25th—bringing with it elite competition, rising stars, national attention, and a deeply meaningful local tribute.

The Beast of the East Rodeo, Bulls & Broncs Luxury Watch Series returns to Vero Beach in partnership with the Elite Bullriders Association, featuring $16,000 in added prize money and a powerful focus on community impact.

More than just a rodeo, this event represents the second stop of the Overpass Arena Luxury Watch Series, a multi-event championship where top riders compete throughout the year for a luxury Rolex watch donated by 6th Avenue Jewelry. With additional events scheduled for September 4–5 and November 20–21, the series continues to build momentum as it grows across the 2026 season.

High Stakes, Rising Stars, and National Talent Sanctioned by the Elite Bullriders Association, the Beast of the East Rodeo features $16,000 in added prize money, drawing top competitors from across the country.
All eyes are on Kasen Matthews, the current #1 ranked bull rider in the EBA—and just 17 years old—who is also leading the Luxury Watch Series standings heading into this event. Fans will also see Lane Savant, the #1 ranked Ranch Bronc rider, fresh off his first world title win at the EBA World Finals in Palmetto.
Adding to the excitement, a music video for artist Tom Jackson will be filmed live during the rodeo, capturing the raw energy and authenticity of the sport in front of a live crowd.

Built by Bulls, Powered by Passion
The Overpass Arena isn’t just an event venue—it’s a working bull training facility where animals are hand-fed and raised from birth, creating a unique connection between the athletes, the animals, and the land. This authenticity sets the tone for an experience that blends professional competition with grassroots rodeo culture—something rarely found at this level.

Honoring Heroes & Giving Back Beyond the action in the arena, the event carries a powerful mission rooted in community, remembrance, and honor. During the weekend, a $20,000 check will be presented to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office to help send both the Sheriff’s Color Guard and the family of fallen officer Terri Mashkow to Washington, D.C. for National Fallen Officer Week, where she will be formally recognized among heroes from across the nation.

That connection will be felt on-site as well, with the Sheriff’s Color Guard in attendance throughout the event, while the Sheriff’s Explorers play an active role in supporting operations by managing event parking—further strengthening the bond between the rodeo and local law enforcement. The weekend will also include an additional check presentation to Honor Tribe Outdoors, an organization dedicated to supporting combat veterans and Gold Star families through guided outdoor experiences that help restore connection, purpose, and peace—further reinforcing the rodeo’s commitment to giving back and supporting meaningful causes within the community.

More Than a Rodeo — A Full Experience The Beast of the East Rodeo isn’t just about what happens in the arena—it’s about the atmosphere surrounding it. From the moment gates open at 5:00 PM, guests step into an experience that blends high-level competition with a festival-style environment built for both families and nightlife seekers alike.
One of the biggest draws this year is the arrival of Alan’s Lids, a nationally recognized name in Western culture. Traveling in from Texas, Alan’s Lids has built a massive following—reaching millions online—by custom shaping cowboy hats live, turning each piece into a personalized work of art. His presence alone has become an attraction, drawing crowds who want to watch, learn, and leave with a one-of-a-kind hat shaped on the spot.

For many attendees, this is a rare opportunity to experience a piece of authentic Western craftsmanship without leaving Florida.

Beyond the vendors, the energy builds throughout the night as the arena comes alive with crowd-favorite moments like Bull Soccer, keeping fans engaged between rides and adding a layer of unpredictable fun to the evening. And when the final bull has bucked on Saturday night, the experience doesn’t end—the arena shifts gears into a DJ-led afterparty starting at 10:00 PM, extending the excitement well beyond the competition and into a full night out.
